(ORAL ) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short 'the Cr.P.C.)' praying for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.207 dated 25.11.2019, under Section 420, 506 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Gidderbaha, District Shri Muktsar Sahib.
On 1.1.2020, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner had submitted that there is possibility of settlement between the parties through Mediation and the matter was RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2020.02.10 11:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRM-M-55648-2019 (O&M) referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has now been settled in the Mediation Centre of this Court. He further submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to join investigation as and when called upon by the police in this regard, if so required. Per contra, learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Baz Singh, verifies the factum of compromise which has been arrived at between the parties and on specific instructions, he further states that the petitioner is no more required for custodial interrogation. In view of above stand taken by the learned State counsel, the present petition is allowed. Interim order dated 1.1.2020, is hereby made absolute.
