JASGURPREET SINGH PURI , J. (ORAL ) Petitioners claim that they are staying in a live-in relationship and petitioner No.2 is of the age of 17 years and 6 months approximately. Although age proof of petitioner No.2 has not been attached with the petition but her date of birth has been pleaded in para 2 of the writ petition as 11.6.2002.

The petitioners have filed the present petition for protection of their life and liberty as they have apprehension at the hands of private respondent Nos.5 to 7, who are stated to be father, uncle and maternal uncle of petitioner No.2.

CRWP-2666-2019 (O&M) Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have filed the present petition for protection as there is an apprehension at the hands of parents of the girl that they would marry the girl to some other person even before she attains the age of 18 years. Learned counsel for the petitioners in support of his contention relies upon order dated 27.9.2019, passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in CWP No.28124 of 2019 titled Sarabjeet Kaur and another Vs. State of Punjab and others.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the paper book.

In view of the apprehensions raised by the petitioners which are supported by affidavit of petitioner No.1, without commenting upon the kind of relationship between the petitioners and confining the scope of present writ petition only to the extent of protecting the life and liberty of the petitioners, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach respondent Nos.2 and 3, only for the limited purpose of threat perception. In case, the petitioners approach the above stated respondents, in that eventuality, the said respondents shall take steps which they deem fit in accordance with law.
