(ORAL) In the instant criminal writ petition under articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, prayer has been made for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondents No. 2 and 3, to protect the life and liberty of petitioner and his family members at the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 6, who are causing threats to them, as on the complaint of petitioner action has been recommended against respondents No. 4 and 5, who committed cheating and fraud upon him, in active connivance with respondent No. 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the purpose of instant writ petition would be achieved, if, respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, is directed to decide representation dated 16.07.2019 (Annexure P-2), moved by the petitioner.
