1. The petitioner has preferred this writ petition praying for directing the respondents to decide the appeal preferred by him against the order of punishment awarded to him on 25.05.2021.

2. Learned counsel submits that the appeal was preferred on 07.06.2021, but the same is still pending. It is stated that another appeal/reminder was submitted on 21.07.2023 but the same has also not been addressed to.

3. Learned counsel for the State does not object if this Court disposes of this petition with directions to the respondents/State to decide the appeal within a stipulated period.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with directions to the State to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the punishment order dated 25.05.2021 within a period of three months from today.
