Learned Senior counsel states that petitioners are in possession of 2 kanals - 10 marlas of land in the revenue estate of Patiala and by vitrue of notification dated 01.04.2020 being an occupant, he is entitled to purchase it. Senior counsel submits that the petitioner has submitted a request dated 01.06.2025 (Annexure P-7) to the official respondents for conferring the proprietory/ownership rights but application is still pending. 2.

An advance copy of the petition has been served upon the learned counsel for the respondents.

This petition is supported with an affidavit of the petitioner. Representation given by the petitioners seems to be pending and has to be decided one way or the other.
