The limited prayer made in the present petition is for disposal of the rent petition being RP/628/2018 titled as 'Dr. Gurdial Singh & Anr. vs Fakiria Mohammad' which has been pending before the learned Rent Controller, Ludhiana since the year 2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that even the application for Leave to Contest has not been decided till date though the same is pending since the year 2019. As per the E-courts website of District Court Ludhiana, 80 adjournments have been granted after filing of the application for Leave to Contest.

Keeping in view the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a request to the learned Rent Controller concerned to decide the matter expeditiously and in accordance with law.
