Mr. Deepak Arora, Advocate for the petitioners. ***** SANJIV BERRY. J. (Oral) The present petition under Section 482 CrPC has been preferred by the petitioners seeking directions to respondent No.2 to take appropriate action against respondent No.4 in accordance with law. 2.

It is, inter alia, contended by learned counsel for the petitioners that one FIR No.54 dated 08.08.2023 registered under Sections 302, 120-B and 506 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at Police Station Mehta, District Amritsar (Rural) was registered against the brother of the petitioners with whom the petitioners have no concern nor they have any concern with the aforesaid FIR, but the police officials are unnecessarily harassing the petitioners. He submits that in this regard the petitioners have moved a representation dated 20.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) to respondent No.2, but till date no action thereon has been taken. He submits that for the purpose of this petition, the petitioners will be satisfied if directions are given to respondent No.2 to consider and dispose of the representation dated 20.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) in accordance with law in an expeditious manner.

After considering the respective submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners and the averments made in the petition, without commenting on the merits thereof, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural) to consider and dispose of the representation dated 20.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) in accordance with law in an expeditious manner. The decision so taken be intimated to the petitioners as well.
