On 14.12.2023, the following order was passed by this Court:- "The petitioner through the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to re-issue him passport. Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner was holding passport, which is valid upto 10.10.2029. The petitioner lost his passport on 12.01.2023 and applied for re-issuance, however, passport authority on account of pending FIR, is not reissuing passport. The FIR against the petitioner was registered on 25.11.2017 and passport was issued on 11.10.2019 i.e. after registration of FIR. The police till date, has not filed its report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. The case of the petitioner is covered by judgment of this Court in Mohan PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2024.01.23 02:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
