MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking extension of time to comply with the order dated 20.09.2023 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala, whereby petitioner was directed to deposit 20% of the compensation amount with the learned trial Court within one month from the date of passing of the said order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to deposit a demand draft in the sum of `1 lakh in compliance of order dated 20.09.2023 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala, before the trial Court on the next date of hearing i.e. 18.01.2024. 3.

In the circumstances, without issuing notice to the respondents, to avoid any further delay as well as expenses which the respondents shall have to incur to defend these proceedings, the instant petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount in the form of a demand draft in the sum of `1 lakh in compliance of order dated 20.09.2023 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala.

No coercive steps be taken against the petitioner till the next date of hearing.
