Through the instant petition, the petitioner has sought the relief of his being enlarged on regular bail, in FIR No.144 dated 11.12.2022, under Section 21/21(c) of N.D.P.S. Act, 1985, registered at P.S. Shimlapuri, District Ludhiana.

At the very outset, the learned State counsel has, on instructions imparted to him by A.S.I. Somnath, informed this Court that all the prosecution witnesses, except one witness, have been examined. Moreover, the examination-in-chief of said leftover prosecution witness has also been recorded and now the case is fixed for 12.03.2024 for recording his cross-examination.
