The petitioners are seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondents No.4 to 7, who have not only extended the threats of dire consequences but also trespassed into their house. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondent No.4 is continuously harassing petitioner No.1, who is a widow having two children aged 19 years and 11 years, with dire consequences in case she refused to establish physical relations with him. Learned counsel further submits that petitioner No.1 had repeatedly been approaching the official respondents, however, in vain; petitioner No.1 had also given two complaints in the aforesaid regard vide complaint dated 20.11.2023 and 28.11.2023 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) respectively, however, the official respondents had not come to her rescue. After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed off with a direction to the official respondents to consider and decide their complaint/ representation dated 28.11.2023 (Annexure P-2) filed by her in accordance with law.

On the asking of Court, Ms. Trishanjli Sharma, DAG, Haryana, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of official respondents. 6.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioners, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, Firozpur Jhirka, to look into the complaint/representation dated 28.11.2023 (Annexure P-2) and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, as expeditiously from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
