In the present petition, the grievance of the petitioners is that by totally cryptic and non-speaking order dated 12.08.2024, copy of which has been appended as (Annexure P-6), the claim of the petitioners for the grant of compassionate appointment has been rejected, which order cannot be sustained. 2.

Ms. Shruti, AAG, who is present in Court accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Learned State counsel submits that keeping in view the instructions received from the officer concerned namely Sh. Mohinder Singh, Chief Conservator of Soils, Punjab, the impugned order dated 12.08.2024 (Annexure P6) be treated as withdrawn with liberty to pass a fresh order qua the consideration of the claim of the petitioners for grant of compassionate appointment which order will be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that keeping in view the fact that the impugned order has been withdrawn, the present petition has been ARCHANA ARORA 2024.11.22 16:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
