Ms. Monika Jalota, Sr. DAG, Punjab waives service on behalf of the respondents-State.

The instant petition is disposed of with a liberty to the present petitioner to move an appropriate application seeking his becoming released on parole from the prison concerned. On such an application being preferred before the Superintendent of the Jail concerned, where, the present petitioner is presently lodged, thereupon the same shall be forthwith forwarded by the Superintendent of the Jail concerned, to the competent authority concerned. On the said application being received by the competent authority concerned, the latter shall make a speaking decision thereons, but within three weeks thereafter.
