Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant/release the complete family pensionary benefits and dues to the petitioner (including gratuity, dearness allowance, GPF/PF deposited by the husband of the petitioner, leave encashment, medical allowance, etc. and arrears of increment and other arrears) along with interest @ 18% per annum for delay in payment of aforesaid service benefits till its realization. Further prayer has been made to direct the respondents to decide the representation dated 24.09.2024 (Annexure P-3). 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for claiming the aforesaid relief, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 24.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) and at this stage, the petitioner would be MOHD YAKUB 2024.11.21 18:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CWP No.31399 of 2024 satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

Mr. Rajesh Sehgal, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 24.09.2024 (Annexure P-3), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
