(ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India, prayer has been made for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5. The matter was referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and in pursuance thereof, a settlement dated 18.12.2023 came to be executed between the parties. The said settlement agreement forms part of the record. As per the terms of the settlement, respondents No.4 and 5 have ensured that they would not interfere in the life of the petitioner. Even learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents No.4 and 5 reiterates the same.

In view of the above, no cause survives in the present petition and the same is disposed of in terms of settlement dated 18.12.2023.
