1. The petitioner has approached this Court challenging a provisional seniority list. It is stated that the inter se merit list has not been followed for the purpose of preparing seniority.

2. The petitioner is free to take up all the objections against the provisional seniority list. It is not to be doubted that the respondents shall prepare final seniority list after considering the objections raised by the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents may act upon the provisional seniority list. It goes without saying that unless the final seniority list has been prepared, no promotions shall be made.

4. Writ Petition stands disposed of.
