The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents, particularly respondent no.2 to get release/produced detenue Gurneer Kaur d/o Surinder Singh aged 131⁄2 from the forcible and illegal detention of respondent no.4 and to enquire about the safety of the minor detenue as since 2.6.2025 nothing has been heard about her, in the facts and circumstances of the present case.' 2.

Learned State counsel has filed compliance report by way of affidavit of Inspector Daljeet Singh, SHO, Police Station Cantt., District Bathinda in Court today. The same be kept on record. The alleged detenue-Gurneer Kaur has been produced before this Court in pursuance to the order dated 9.10.2025. This Court has interacted with her briefly with the assistance of learned State counsel. 5.

The detenue has submitted that her date of birth is 23.12.2011, which is not disputed by rival counsel. The detenue has submitted that she wants to go alongwith respondent no.5, her biological mother-Smt. Gurwinder Kaur.

The detenue is permitted to accompany respondent no.5 (her natural mother) and learned counsel appearing for respondent no.5 has also expressed that she is willing to take detenue alongwith her and take care of her.

In view of the above, no further directions are called for into the petition in hand and the same is disposed of accordingly. 8.
