(Oral) The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant extension in service to the petitioner for two years from 01.11.2024 to 31.10.2026, since he is a disabled employee suffering from ninety per cent visual impairment. A direction has also been sought to promote the petitioner form the post of Clerk to Assistant as his case is pending with the Department since 2022.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, contends that vide office order dated 10.12.2024, the Department has granted extension in service to the petitioner for two years from 01.11.2024 to 31.10.2026 under provisions of Chapter XI of HCS (General) Rules, 2016. His case for promotion to the post of Assistant will also be considered in accordance with law by the second PAYAL 2024.12.20 15:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
