The present petition has been filed under Article(s) 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners in Court today. Same was the position on the last date of hearing i.e. on 11.01.2024. 3.

A perusal of the petition demonstrates that petitioner No. 1 is a married woman, who is married to respondent No. 4 and had developed relationship with petitioner No. 2 during the subsistence of her first marriage. More so, it is evident that the petition does not demonstrate any threat perception.

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution.
