(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to reveal and follow their complete disaster management plans prepared for the area for proper and efficient disposal of storm rain water, by either laying down large size pipeline to cater the storm water or restoring the previous 3*3 size of wide deep drain or take any required action in their profound wisdom/expertise forthwith to redress the grievance of the petitioner.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the concerned authorities to decide legal notice dated 04.07.2025 (Annexure P-9) in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submit that in case, legal notice dated 04.07.2025 (Annexure P-9) has been received in the office of respondent No.5 (Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Banur, District SAS Nagar, Mohali), then the competent Officer/Authority shall take decision either way on the same, within a period of six weeks from today by way of passing a speaking order and after affording due opportunity of hearing to all the concerned parties. 6.

Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties, the present writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 7.
