This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the order dated 3.11.2023, Annexure P-15, whereby the petitioner has been relieved from the posts of Extension Lecturer. 2.

Learned counsel contends that the impugned order deserves to be set aside since as per the procedure of removal prescribed under the Policy dated 4.3.2020, an Extension Lecturer can be removed only on joining of a newly appointed Assistant Professor, and is to be allowed to deliver lectures if sufficient workload is available. Since no regular Assistant Professor has been appointed, nor is there any decrease in workload, the petitioner could not have been relieved. 3.

Concededly, the petitioner is not eligible to be appointed as Assistant Professor or Extension Lecturer on contract. Considering this fact, she has been ordered to be relieved vide the impugned order. The Ashwani Kumar 2023.12.19 18:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

2023:PHHC:162056 Policy for engaging Extension Lecturers, dated 4.3.2020, clearly provides that only qualified/eligible persons are to be engaged as Extension Lecturer, and ineligible ones working on these posts shall be removed after its notification. Apparently, the procedure for removal, referred to by the learned counsel, will be applicable only in case of an Assistant Professor who fulfill the eligibility, and has been engaged on that basis. Since the petitioner is ineligible, she has no right to work as
