This writ petition has been filed to challenge the correctness of the Show Cause Notices issued to the petitioner to show case as to why the passport issued to him on 25.09.2024 should not be impounded on account of adverse police verification report with regard to the pendency of FIR No. 151 dated 17.12.2018, registered under Section 193, 200 and 420 IPC, at Police Station City Sonepat, which is the subject matter of a criminal trial before the Court.

The petitioner has filed a reply to the show cause notices and final decision is yet to be taken by the Regional Passport Officer, Delhi. 3.
