The present petition has been preferred by the petitioner seeking extension of parole for four to six weeks w.e.f 31.12.2023, as he is suffering from Asymmetric Hip Joint (Diagnosed case of Lumbosacral Spondylosis) and his condition is very critical. 2.

On 21.12.2023, a response, to verify the medical condition of the petitioner, was called by this Court. On 26.12.2023, a short affidavit was filed by Dr. Riputapan Singh, P.P.S Deputy Superintendent of Police, SubDivision Ajnala, Amritsar. Para-4 of the said affidavit is reproduced as under:- "4.

That it is submitted that as per the report furnished by SHO, P.S Rajasansi, Amritsar (Rural), verification has been conducted qua the medical condition of the petitioner. During which, a written report has been obtained along with medical record from Doctor Jasmine Kaur, MBBS of Nayyar Heart Institute and Super Speciality Hospital, Amritsar. 2023:PHHC:165952 CRWP-12306-2023 -2has reported that the present petitioner Harbans Singh was admitted in the hospital with complaint of Lumbar Spondylosis, difficult in walking & lower limb weakness from 6/12/23 to 12/12/23. He was managed with conservative treatment in the hospital. The treatment will continue for 2-3 weeks. The certificate is annexed herewith as Annexure R-1 for the consideration of this Hon'ble Court."

After perusing the same, the present petition is allowed and parole of the petitioner is extended w.e.f 31.12.2023 till 15.01.2024. On 16.01.2024, the petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent, Jail concerned at 10.00 AM.
