Present petition has been filed praying for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to conduct a fair and impartial enquiry in case FIR No.0023, dated 28.02.2024, under Sections 452/427/506/148/149 IPC, registered at Police Station Maqsudan, District Jalandhar, Annexure P-1, and complaint, dated 14.10.2024, Annexure P-2 and to complete the investigation expeditiously qua respondents No.5 to 9. It is further prayed to issue direction to official respondents to file status report. It is also prayed to issue direction to respondent No.2 to transfer the investigation, which is pending with respondent No.4 to some other higher officer. 2.
It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that since registration of the FIR, there is no progress in the investigation. He submits that the petitioner has approached the Investigating Agency time and again, however, no action has been taken on the same. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurbir Singh, submits that investigation is already in progress and the same would be concluded within four weeks.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents/State to conclude the investigation expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within four weeks from today.
