This is an application for seeking permission to implead the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala and the Station House Officer, Police Station Kotwali, Patiala, as respondents No.4 and 5, respectively, which is not opposed by the learned counsel representing the respondents. 2.

In view of the above, the present application is allowed. Amended memo of parties is taken on record.

The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue "Police Clearance Certificate" to enable him to get visa. Civil Writ Petition No. 31972 of 2024 (O&M) accused in FIR No.86 dated 03.05.2024, registered under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Kotwali, District Patiala. However, the police, after investigation, did not find any material against the petitioner and he was placed in column No.2 of the FIR. Thus, he was not nominated as an accused in the case.

The learned State counsel admits these facts and submits that appropriate "Police Clearance Certificate" shall be forwarded to the passport authorities within a period of one week. 5.

Keeping in view the aforesaid development, the present writ petition is disposed of. However, the Station House Officer, Police Station Kotwali, District Patiala, shall remain bound by the stand taken before this Court.
