The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents No. 1 and 2 to re-issue him passport.

The petitioner vide application dated 15.02.2022 applied for passport, however, respondents did not issue because of pendency of FIR No. 110 dated 25.05.2002, under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of IPC registered against the petitioner at Police Station, Sahnewal, Ludhaina. 3.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has already been acquitted in the aforesaid FIR vide judgment dated 06.01.2011 passed by JMIC, Ludhiana.
