IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH (117) CRWP-11754-2025 Date of Decision:- 28.11.2025 Shrdha Razdan @ Shrdha Dhananjay Razdan ......Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others ......Respondents

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ALOK JAIN ****

Present:

Mr. Akash Khurana, Advocate for Mr. Lupil Gupta, Advocate for the petitioner. **** ALOK JAIN, J. (Oral) 1.

The present petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondents No. 1 to 4 to ensure protection of the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members at the hands of respondent No. 5.

2.

However, a perusal of the petition does not demonstrate any cogent averments, nor does it specify any particular date, time, or place at which the alleged threats were purportedly extended to the petitioner. 3.

It is further borne out that the petitioner has already approached this Court by filing another petition, i.e., CRM-M-58050-2025, which is fixed for 10.02.2026. The present petition, therefore, appears to be a crude attempt to exert pressure on the respondents so as to compel them to accede to the petitioner's demands.

CRWP-11754-2025 4.

Learned State counsel submits that there is no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner. Be that as it may, the State remains duty-bound to safeguard the life and liberty of all its citizens. 5.

In view of the above and finding no merit in the present petition, the same stands dismissed. Needless to say that the State is duty bound to protect the life and liberty of all its citizens.
