Dated Police Station Sections 10.02.2017 Vigilance Bureau, Economic Offences Wing, District Ludhiana 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC and Sections 13(1)(D) r/w 13(2) of PC (Amendment) Act 2018 (201 IPC added later on) 1.

The petitioner apprehending arrest in the FIR captioned above, had come up before this Court under Section 438 CrPC seeking anticipatory bail by filing the present petition.

Vide order dated 04.01.2024, the petitioner was granted interim bail, which is continuing till date.

Petitioner's counsel submits that they have voluntarily complied with the order dated 04.01.2024.

State counsel does not dispute the contention made by counsel for the petitioner, however opposes the bail.

In a nutshell, allegations against the petitioner are that after issuance of notification under Sections 3D & 3 G of National Highway Act 1956, she has purchased a property which she had transferred in favour of his son, who subsequently had received compensation. Since the petitioner was not a beneficiary and her case is entirely different from other accused, as such she is entitled to bail. 6.

The petitioner was granted interim protection, and in the interregnum, there is no allegation that she had intimidated the witnesses or that she had hampered the investigation, or despite being called to join the investigation, she did not appear before the investigator.
