(Oral) The present first petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for seeking direction to the respondents to complete the pending investigation in case bearing FIR No.0034 dated 12.02.2025 registered under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Kharar, District SAS Nagar Mohali as expeditiously as possible.

Status report dated 28.04.2026 by way of an affidavit of Ishan Singla, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division, Kharar-1, District SAS Nagar on behalf of the respondent/State has been filed today in the Court. The same is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at an appropriate place.

Learned State Counsel contends that the challan is otherwise ready and the same shall be filed within a period of 04 weeks from today. 4.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous at this stage.

The respondent-State shall however ensure that the final report shall be filed within the period as undertaken before this Court. 6.
