The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that keeping in view the above facts and circumstances, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to:- a. Issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of writ of Mandamus to the respondent No. 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of the respondent No. 3, so that they may not become a victim of continuous subjugation and savagery inflicted upon them by the official respondents b. Issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of writ of Mandamus to the respondent No. 3 to not hassle the petitioners by calling them time and again to the police station and raiding their home without assigning any reasonable reason and without adopting the proper procedure of law;

c. Issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of writ of Mandamus to the respondent No. 3 to issue one week prior notice to the petitioners in terms of Section 179 read with Section 35 ASHWANI KUMAR 2025.12.04 17:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, if they are required for the purpose of investigation of any case; d. Issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of writ of Mandamus to the respondent No. 2 to ensure that there should be no infringement of human rights of the petitioners at the instance of respondent No. 3 and to decide the representation dated 08.10.2025 (Annexure P-3) in accordance with law and to take appropriate legal action.'

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners; in view of the fact that respondent no.3 has been nominated as an accused in an FIR under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 & is presently not in a position to influence or cause any harm/harassment to the petitioners; seeks to withdraw the present petition at this stage.

Needless to say that the petitioners shall be at liberty to file a fresh petition and/or seek further/alternative remedy(s) as enunciated in law for redressal of any grievance(s), if left out. 5.
