The petitioner is seeking issuance of direction to official respondents No.2 and 3 for arresting the accused i.e. respondents No.4 and 5 in FIR No.123 dated 02.11.2024 under Sections 333, 115(2), 118(1) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 registered at Police Station Maur, District Bathinda.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR in question was registered at the instance of the petitioner against the private respondents on 02.11.2024 annexed as Annexure P-1. However, till date, the accused persons/private respondents have been roaming around freely and extending threats to the petitioner; the police has made no efforts to arrest the accused persons/private respondents.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, to POONAM RATHORE 2024.12.03 16:26 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

In view of the restricted prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, to look into the representation (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner and take immediate appropriate action, if required, in accordance with law.
