The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to the respondents to grant her terminal benefits.

The son of the petitioner was enrolled with BSF in September' 2013 as Constable. He solemnised marriage with Harpreet Kaur. A son was born from the said wedlock. On the one hand, wife of deceased employee is claiming pensionary and terminal benefits and on the other hand, petitioner being mother of the deceased employee is claiming the same benefits. The petitioner has served upon the respondent legal notice dated 30.10.2023 (Annexure P-7) claiming terminal benefits accruing on account of death of her son.
