This petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 6 who have thrown her out of her matrimonial home within five months of the marriage and are not allowing her to enter in the matrimonial house and rather have threatened to eliminate the petitioner. 2.

A status report, dated 30.01.2024 by way of an affidavit of Sh. Babandeep Singh, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Sultanpur Lodhi, Kapurthala, has been filed in Court today by learned State counsel. The same is taken on record.

In the said status report, it has been alleged that an inquiry has been conducted on an application moved by the petitioner before the SSP Kapurthala on the similar facts, i.e. Application No. 949 PC Dated 29.09.2023, wherein the allegations levelled by the petitioner were found to be false and as such, the inquiry officer has recommended to close the Nitin 2024.01.30 18:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-12430-2023 (O&M) -22024:PHHC:012310 complaints and forwarded his inquiry report to the Deputy Superintendent of Police concerned which was approved on 13.01.2024 and the same was also sent to the SSP, Kapurthala.

It is further alleged in the aforesaid report that there is no threat perceptions to the petitioner from the hands of the private respondents. 5.

Keeping in view the above, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.

However, the petitioner is at liberty to seek her alternate remedy for her matrimonial dispute.

Pending miscellaneous application (s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
