The petitioner seeks grant of parole so as to participate in the marriage of his real son which is scheduled to be solemnized on 30.11.2024. 2.

Notice of motion.

At this stage, Mr. Siddharth Attri, AAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court accepts notice.

Learned State counsel has informed that the factum about the marriage of real son of the petitioner has been got verified and the same has been found to be correct and the marriage is stated to be solemnized on 30.11.2024. 3.

It goes without saying that the petitioner being father would be required to perform certain ceremonies in connection with marriage of his son. CRWP-11568-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) attend the marriage of his son, which is to be solemnized on 30.11.2024, while in custody.

The Superintendent, Central Jail, Bathinda, shall do the needful for taking the petitioner while in custody to the venue of marriage of his son i.e. Village Khiali Wala, District Bathinda by 10:00 AM on 30.11.2024 where he may stay till 03.00 PM and consign him back in the jail on the evening of 30.11.2024 itself.

The aforesaid order shall, however, be subject to the condition that family of the petitioner/petitioner deposits the requisite expenses in advance, which may be incurred for taking the petitioner to the venue of the said ceremony and to consign him back in jail. It is however, made clear that in case the police officials accompanying the petitoner find that there is any development leading to apprehension or any threat to security, they may get the petitioner back even before 03:00 PM from the venue so as to consign him back to jail on the same day.

The police officials entering the venue can wear civil uniform. However, police officials in uniform, if any, accompanying shall remain outside the venue.
