(Oral) The present petition has been filed for issuance of direction to the respondents to issue arms license to the petitioner, which was applied by the petitioner vide application No. 2193 dated 30.05.2022 (Annexure P-1). Further prayer of the petitioner is that the respondents be directed to consider his representation dated 27.08.2023 (Annexures P-2 to P-4). Notice of motion.

Mr. Rohit Ahuja, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State and submits that in case application No. 2139 dated 30.05.2022 (Annexure P-1) for issuance of new arms license has been received from the petitioner in the office of authorities concerned and the same is still pending for consideration, then an appropriate speaking order after considering the said application will be passed by the authorities concerned within the period of eight weeks from the receipt of certified copy of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement made by learned State counsel recorded herein above, no further order is required to be passed in the present petition, hence, the RIYA 2024.04.26 16:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
