The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, claiming the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus summoning the records of the case;
(ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents especially respondent No. 3 and 4 to release the retiral benefits of the petitioner not limited to but including leave encashment, gratuity, etc. alongwith interest at the rate of
12% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual realisation, in the interest of justice; (iii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents especially respondent No. 3 and 4 to release the salary and monetary benefits of the present petitioner w.e.f. 1.12.2020 uptill attaining the age of superannuation, i.e., 60 years viz on 30.11.2022 alongwith interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date the salary and monetary benefits became due till the date of actual realisation, in the interest of justice;
(iv) Issue a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the memorandum dated 30.01.2019 (Annexure P-5), as pendency of the said memorandum for years altogether without any finality cannot be made basis to withhold the retiral benefits of the present petitioner;
(v) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No. 1 to conduct an independent enquiry against the officials of respondent No. 2 to 4 who have erred in performing their duties and have withheld the retiral benefits of the present petitioner for years altogether and to take appropriate disciplinary action against the said erring officials, within a time bound;
(vi) issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 19.02.2025 (Annexure P-7) and 07.08.2025 (Annexure P-8), within a time
bound manner and to release the benefits as prayed therein along with interest, the interest of justice. 2.

Learned counsel for respondent no. 4, at the very outset, submits that the grievance raised by the petitioner has substantially been redressed and the consequential benefits thereof have been released in favour of the petitioner. He has produced the copies of order dated 21.01.2026 and 05.03.2026 (detailing the payment credited to the account of the petitioner), which have been marked as Annexure 'X' and 'Y', respectively.

Learned counsel for the petitioner affirms to the receipt of consequential benefits paid on 05.03.2026 and submits that nothing survives for adjudication in the present petition. She, therefore, prays that the present writ petition be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. 4.
In view of the aforesaid submissions, the present writ petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
