The contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 21.08.2025 passed in CWP-24252-2025, whereby, direction was given to Chairman, District Child Welfare Committee, Gurdaspur to decide application dated 06.08.2025 filed by the petitioner within a period of three weeks.

Learned State counsel contends that in compliance of order dated 21.08.2025, affidavit of Mr. Sucha Singh Multani, Chairperson Child Welfare Committee, Gurdaspur, dated 09.12.2025 along with Annexure R-1 dated 03.09.2025 and Annexure R-2/T dated 02.12.2025 has been filed, which is taken on record.

A perusal of affidavit dated 09.12.2025 shows that order dated 21.08.2025 passed in CWP-24252-2025, has been complied with. 4.

In view of the same, the contempt is purged and rule is discharged. 5.

Liberty is however granted to the petitioner to avail the remedy as is available to him in accordance with law.
