The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to decide representation dated 25.08.2023 (Annexure P-4). 2.

The petitioner vide application dated 21.01.2023 applied for passport. An FIR No.148 dated 07.07.2002, under Sections 323, 324, 326, 34, 506 of IPC came to be registered against the petitioner at Police Station Butana, District Karnal. The petitioner vide judgment dated 23.02.2010 was convicted by JMIC, Karnal and awarded sentence of six months vide order dated 24.02.2010. The petitioner preferred appeal before Appellate Court which came to be dismissed. The petitioner has further filed CRR No. 710 PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2024.04.01 00:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.29479 of 2023 -2- 2024:PHHC:000425 of 2012 before this Court. The sentence of the petitioner was suspended and revision is still pending before this Court.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by judgment of this Court in Mohan Lal @ Mohna vs. Union of India and others 2023 SCC Online P&H 1391. 4.

Counsel for Union of India does not dispute the applicability of the aforesaid judgment to the facts of the present case. She asserts that application of the petitioner would be disposed of within six weeks from today.

In the wake of statement of counsel for Union of India, the petition stands disposed of.
