At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the direction issued by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 18.07.2024 (Annexure P1) passed in CRWP-6717-2024 titled as "Vikas Kumar Vs. State of Punjab & Others" to respondent No.3 "...to look into the matter and to decide the representation dated 24.06.2024 (Annexure P-8) expeditiously in accordance with law and to provide necessary protection to the petitioner in case situation so warrants.", has been complied with; and order dated 23.08.2024 (Annexure R1) has been passed. It is submitted that the main accused has not been arrayed as accused in the FIR; however, learned counsel prays that the present petition may be disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to appropriate remedy, as per law, if any.
