The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to the respondents to release arrears arising on account of revision of daily wages.

The petitioners joined Punjab Police as Special Police Officers (SPO). They are at present working as Punjab Home Guard Volunteer. They claim that w.e.f. November' 2018, their per day salary has been revised, however, respondent has extended benefit from February' 2022, thus, there are arrears for the period from November' 2018 to January' 2022.

Mr. Dhir submits that the competent authority would look into grievance of petitioners and pass an appropriate order within three months from today.

In the wake of statement of Mr. Dhir, the present petition stands disposed of.
