Present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for directing the learned trial Court to release the passport of the petitioner as he has to go abroad and further directing the learned trial Court to decide the application dated 18.12.2023 (P-2) moved by the petitioner for release of his passport for a period of three months in case FIR No.767 dated 18.08.2022 under Sections 120-B, 406, 420, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and Section 24 of the Immigration Act, registered at Police Station Sadar Karnal, District Karnal, expeditiously. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case, application dated 18.12.2023 (P-2) for release of his passport (tagged with the case file of aforementioned FIR) is decided expeditiously.

In view of the above, but without going into the merits of the controversy, this petition is disposed off with a request to the learned trial Court to consider and decide the aforesaid application moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously, but not later than 31.01.2024.
