Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, 'the BNSS') for directing respondent No.2 to take legal action against respondent No.5 for submitting false affidavit while filing nominations for the post of Sarpanch.

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that his grievance has been redressed by the concerned Police authorities and as such, present petition be disposed off as not pressed "at this stage".
