CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL

Present:

Mr. Manvinder Singh Dalal, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Ramender Singh Chauhan, AAG, Haryana.

GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) Today, learned State counsel informs that as on date out of cited 8 PWs, 7 PWs have already been examined and now the matter is fixed before the trial Court for 14.03.2024 for recording remaining evidence.

In view of the aforestated position, this Court is of the opinion that instead of issuing any order for release of the petitioner at this fag end of trial, the ends of justice would be met in case the trial Court is directed to expeditiously conclude the trial. The petition, as such, is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to keep up its efforts for expediting the trial so that the same would be completed preferably within a period of 2 months from today subject of course to the cooperation extended by the defence counsel as well.
