Mr. HS Deol, Sr. Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner has filed this petition for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.426 dated 24.09.2024, under Sections 21, 22, 29, 61-85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala. 2.

The petitioner is alleged with the offences punishable under the NDPS Act arising out of an incident where 9.8 grams of Etizolam tablets were recovered which falls within the category of commercial quantity.

Learned State counsel informs that investigation is still pending and custodial interrogation is required and also that the petitioner has criminal antecedents comprising of several offences registered in the past.

In view of the above, no case for grant of bail is made out and therefore, this Court declines bail to the petitioner for the time being with liberty to revisit the Court as and when the investigation is over. 5.
