(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to the official respondents, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner, who apprehend threat to her life at the hands of private respondent No.6. 2.

Learned counsel for the State has drawn the attention of this Court to the affidavit dated 15.03.2024 of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur, filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 and submitted that preventive action had been taken against respondent No.6, son of the petitioner. Thereafter, when the petitioner submitted another complaint dated 09.02.2024 against her son-respondent No.6, a kalandra was prepared vide DDR No.9 dated 10.02.2024 at Police Station Bhawanigarh, which was then submitted to the Court of learned SDM, Bhawanigarh.
