The present contempt petition has been filed alleging deliberate and intentional disobedience of the order dated 21.12.2022 passed in CWP-17438-2022, whereby the respondent No.2 was directed to take necessary action for removal of illegal encroachment within the next four weeks.

Learned State counsel contends that, in compliance of order dated 20.01.2025, a compliance report by way of affidavit dated 26.05.2025 of Mr. Rajesh Khurana, Naib Tehsildar, Karnal, has been filed. The same is taken on record.

A perusal of the compliance report/affidavit dated 26.05.2025 reveals that order dated 21.12.2022 passed in CWP-17438-2022 has been -1SHUBHAM 2026.02.18 10:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/order

COCP-4917-2024 duly complied with. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the said fact.

In view of the above, the contempt stands purged and the rule is discharged.
