The petitions have been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant the petitioners the benefit of notional pay fixation and seniority, already granted to newly appointed PGT Chemistry, with effect from 06.03.2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that grievance raised herein is pending for appropriate decision before the second respondent. At this stage, the petitioners will be satisfied in case the second respondent is directed to decide their pending representations, dated 05.12.2023, Annexure P-6, in a specified period.

Mr. Ravinder Singh Budhwar, Addl. AG, Haryana, appearing on advance notice, submits that the pending representations, dated 05.12.2023, will be decided by the second respondent expeditiously. 5.

In view thereof, without going into the merits of the case, the petitions are disposed of with a direction to the second respondent-Director of Secondary Education, to consider and decide the pending representations, dated 05.12.2023, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from receiving a certified copy of this order. 6.

In case the order is not passed within the stipulated period, the officer concerned shall pay costs of ₹50,000 to the petitioners. 7.
