While filing the petition, the petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus by directing the respondent No.1 to 3 to produce his minor daughter which is alleged to be in the custody of respondent No.4, who is his sister's son.

On 28.12.2023. the learned State counsel was requested to get the complete instructions.

Mr. Joginder Pal Ratra, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on the instructions from Mr.Charanjit Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector, submits that on 16.11.2023, the statement of the petitioner's daughter was recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, wherein she has stated that she is residing with her Aunt and it is the petitioner who is harassing her.
