(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the official respondents to take action against respondents No.6 to 8 for restraining the petitioners to perform their duties as an Elected Panchayat of Gram Panchayat Village Ahluwal, District Gurdaspur and not to create hurdles in the welfare and development works of the village.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition. 3.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
