MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the private respondents have been extending threats of dire consequences to the petitioners and trying to usurp their property by not permitting them to enter the same, even though the property has been mutated in their name. It has been submitted that even earlier, petitioner No.1 had approached this Court by way of CRWP No.5452 of 2023, wherein directions had been issued to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, however, it had been in vain. Learned counsel has submitted that a representation has again been given to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.3 on 22.11.2024 (Annexure P-4), however, till date the official respondents had not come to their rescue.

On a pointed query put to the learned counsel as to whether there is any civil litigation pending between the parties, he has categorically replied in the negative.

In view of the restricted prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to look into the representation dated 28.11.2024 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioners and take appropriate steps, if any required, in accordance with law.
